But if you think that is contradictory Global Warming alarmism has just got a lot more confusing. Global Warming sceptics like to point out that there has been no warming since at least 1998. They point out that the temperature has been cooling since then even as Al Gore have been warning that we are going through a "climate crisis". But now the LA Times newspaper has "clarified" the 1998 issue. Those who make any significance of the 1998 temperatures are "crackpots" an editorial opines. "This hardly debunks the climate change theory. The cyclical El Niño phenomenon and heavy greenhouse gas concentrations combined to make 1998 the hottest year in recorded history. Such statistical blips are properly ignored by most climatologists," the newspaper continues. So in the world of Global Warming alarmism we should ignore the 1998 temperatures. In fact the temperatures of that year are not relevant to the Global Warming argument. But the LA Times neglects to mention an individual who has made extensive use of the 1998 temperatures to make their point about Global Warming. Step forward Al Gore, collect your Oscar and take a bow and then remind us how you said the record temperatures of 1998 were "yet more evidence that global warming is real". So it seems for Global Warming alarmists that evidence of a spike in temperature in 1998 is not evidence that the world is cooling since then. It is not even evidence that the world is warming and is of no statistical significance unless Al Gore wants it to be of statistical significance because then it is. And they want us to shut down American industry and raise taxes based on this logic.

Global Warming alarmism sometimes gets so confusing it is difficult to take seriously.

And does the self-proclaimed defender of the working and middle classes actually know anything about them and how they live?

We can mark this as a historic moment in the fight to expose the truth behind Global Warming alarmism. The Climate Establishment has admitted to what skeptics have been saying for a decade, the earth is not warming.
