You're So Right Yeah, how ridiculous to think we should actually pay attention to scientific predictions. We should only trust them when it's convenient, like when we need a heart transplant or chemotherapy, or the use of any form of technology, among other things. Forget the fact that science is based on actual, physical EVIDENCE, scientists (and educated people in general) just can't be trusted. The vast majority of the scientists in the world must be engaged in an intricate, collective conspiracy to trick us into believing in global warming. That has to be what it is. Sure, they could simply be reporting their findings to the public, in an effort to raise public awareness about a imminent global crisis, but that can't be true. I mean, it just can't. Because that would mean that it's OUR fault, and that you know, I'd have to accept that as a human beings, we're on the brink of destroying our environment with outrageous energy and fuel consumption. That would mean that I would have to sell my SUV and get some pansy little hybrid or something. And start using those reusable grocery bags, like those hippie liberals. No sir, I'm an AMERICAN. And being an American means being able to sit in front of my fat ass on the couch and watch TV, and not worry about leaving the lights off when I go to bed. And hey, I if I want to take a thirty minute shower or dump the leftovers from the oil change on my truck into a river, that's MY right. I mean, this is America--we'll never run out of anything. Water and clean air are in endless supply. And anyway, if anything did happen, it probably wouldn't effect me...maybe my kids....without a doubt my grandkids...or just some poor Africans or something. And you know, that's not my problem. Anyway, all these scientists are just lying---you know how scientists are, you can't trust them with anything. This is just a vast conspiracy, a grand scheme so that the government can control us and plant microchips in our brain....yep, that sounds about right. |

I don't dislike Germans (I was simply being sarcastic), so all you haters can just be quiet, all I am saying is that I don't think ANYONE, especially a foreign country should be allowed to dictate to us how we should be doing things. They already control a great number of things in the US industrial complex that they shouldn't be allowed to - such as the ownership of National Grid, a MAJOR supplier of power in the US, by the British (I am not a citizen of a monarchy, a Socialist-run democracy (unfortunately) yes, but NOT a monarchy). We do need to wake up and find some better ways to create energy, but Big Brother needs to re-think where he plans to step next and with whom he plans to sleep cause there's fixin' to be an uprisin' hereabouts if he don't!!!
