“The judge identified nine aspects of An Inconvenient Truth, nine core errors, where Al Gore either misstated the IPCC or prejudicially exaggerated what they found.” John Day is the lawyer for a British parent who sued the British Department
of Education when they tried to distribute An Inconvenient Truth to schools.
Do Hansen and Hannah Really Believe in Renewables?

darryl_hannahTHE PROBLEM with "renewable energy" is that it just isn't renewable.

The sun doesn't shine enough and the wind doesn't blow enough to power our factories and towns and cities. If, as Al Gore and his supporters demand, we stop using fossil fuels within ten years do they really think we will be able to maintain our essential services based on "renewables"?

Yesterday James Hansen and Daryl Hannah got themselves arrested protesting at a coal mine in West Virginia. They want the US to stop using coal immediately and ban the use of fossil fuels within ten years.

We have a challenge for Al Gore, James Hansen, and Daryl Hannah.

If they are really confident that "renewables" can fill the gap left by removing the source of 75 per cent of America's power - then they should agree to live by their beliefs.

We challenge them to commit themselves and their families to a fossil fuel free medical regime. If they need any medical treatment, or perhaps plastic surgery as some movie stars no longer in the flush of youth have been known to resort to, then we challenge them to go to hospitals 100 per cent fueled by "renewables".

Would they go on the operating table confident that the wind will blow and the sun will shine for the duration. Or are renewables just for poor people who can be forced to pay more for energy and whose lives are not important enough to need reliable and consistent energy sources?
