“The judge identified nine aspects of An Inconvenient Truth, nine core errors, where Al Gore either misstated the IPCC or prejudicially exaggerated what they found.” John Day is the lawyer for a British parent who sued the British Department
of Education when they tried to distribute An Inconvenient Truth to schools.
Climate skepticism in Hollywood

Darker_side_of_greenJust to let you know that I will be taking journalistic and scientific skepticism into the very heart of Hollywood on Thursday night.

As part of Lexus sponsored The Darker Side of Green debates I will be facing off against climate alarmist Simran Sethi at the Palihouse in West Hollywood.

As Hollywood normally follows what is fashionable it looks like Climate Change Skepticism is finally becoming part of the mainstream culture.

For too long we were told the by the climate alarmist establishment that the science is settled and "there was no need for further debate," but now we are having a debate after the science and scientists were shown to be less than honest in their behavior.

Simran Sethi is part of that science establishment. She has written a "green home" series for Al Gore's organization, The Alliance for Climate Protection. She then was an eco-expert on a green home makeover show, The Ecozone Project and later recognize by the UK's Independent as an eco-hero (whatever that is.) Now she is a contributor to Oprah's website and works as a journalism teacher on environmental issues for the University of Kansas School of Journalism and Mass Communications.

I'm sure many of you remember the last time I had a run in with environmental journalists.

I think my mic is safe on this occasion. The moderator, there to keep things civilized, will be Andy Samberg from Saturday Night Live. Later everyone will be able to hear music from Paul Sevigny. Ashton Kutcher will also be attending the event as will Kristen Bell (When in Rome), Jeremy Piven (Entourage), Adrien Brody (The Pianist) and Mark McGrath from the band Sugar Ray.

Lexus really knows how to throw a classy debate. The Darker Side of Green will promote their new hybrid vehicle, the
Lexus CT 200h. To get on the invite list go to Lexusdebates.com. If you can't make it we'll keep you fully informed with twitter and through the website.

Date: July 8th
Time: 9 pm PST, doors open at 8 pm
Where:
Palihouse

Any chance this debate will be available to view on your website later? I assume it will be recorded. Wish I could be there.
