“The judge identified nine aspects of An Inconvenient Truth, nine core errors, where Al Gore either misstated the IPCC or prejudicially exaggerated what they found.” John Day is the lawyer for a British parent who sued the British Department
of Education when they tried to distribute An Inconvenient Truth to schools.
Channel 4's Jon Snow leaves journalism to frighten kids for the UN

JonSnowAnd so finally Jon Snow, the British news anchor, has cast aside any pretence of objectivity. Snow presents Channel 4 News which is supposed to be one of the most serious news programmes in the UK. They pride themselves on in-depth reports looking at the news from an objective - almost detached perspective.

But so often that is just a cover for covering the news from a slightly wry but consistently left wing slant. And so it is with Global Warming. Snow has never been good at hiding his politics on this matter.

For example he has revealed that Hurricane Katrina was caused by Global Warming - not because of the facts or scientific studies but because of a feeling that it must be so. Journalism, with its need for facts and sources can be so tiring sometimes so its much easier to report a "feeling".

Well, now Jon Snow is out in the open as a climate alarmism propagandist and he does so in a way that would never pass basic journalism school. Mr Snow narrates a UN funded short cartoon to scare children about how they will have to adapt to "climate change".

But the two minute cartoon has contradictions that would never be allowed past the sleepiest news editor in most decent news organizations. According to Mr Snow climate change is going to mean children will have to endure "excessive rain" and "water....in short supply".

In journalism we call that a contradiction.

In the real world its called covering your bases, so any weather anywhere can be linked to "climate change".

And we wonder why traditional journalism is dying? It's not the web or free content that's killing journalism. The biggest threat to our profession is when journalists such as Mr Snow ignore hard questions and contradictions to push their their own agenda.

Shame on journalists like Mr Snow for pushing out this contradictory nonsense.

I thought News Readers were supposed to do just that. Read the facts. Not spout hysterical messages to vulnerable children.

I must admit, I didn't catch that!
You're right!. Suffer from both excessive rain and short water supply! Thanks for pointing it out!
This cartoon reminded me of how in the late 80's in grade 10, we were all scared by acid rain and how it would devastate the forests and we'd all die a horrible slow death when all plant life is no more!
